IMPRO SCENE STUDY
Looking to take your improvisation to the next level? This course is focused on exploring short form open improvised scene work. Investigate narrative form while remaining true to the moment in order to create strong and spontaneous theatre. This work will be sure to add to your skills as an actor, writer, director, and collaborator for stage and screen.
*Prerequisite: Students taking Impro Scene Study must have previous improvisation or theatre experience. This course is designed as a continuation of the work explored in Impro For Actors. Not sure if your experience qualifies? Drop me a line and let’s figure it out 🙂

Ali began her improv career at age 15 at Loose Moose Theatre Company, founded by Keith Johnstone. Since then has performed and taught impro on numerous stages across Canada as well as in Norway, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic and the United Arab Emirates. Ali is a proud company member of Spontaneous Theatre, a company founded by Rebecca Northan which merges the worlds of high level improvisation with professional Theatre, select Spontaneous Theatre credits include: Mimi in Blind Date (Artsclub), assistant director of Undercover (Tarragon Theatre), and ensemble member in An Undiscovered Shakespeare (Stratford Festival). She has performed in numerous international improv festivals, including Den Andre Teaterfestivalen (Norway), Wurzburger Impro Theatre Festival (Germany), International Theatresports Institute Conference (Vancouver 2020), Improvaganza (Edmonton), Vancouver International Improv Festival, and is the founder and co-Artistic Director of the Canmore International Improv Festival.
